The Lord's End Time Army
John Siefker
The trumpet of the Lord has been blown and the Holy Spirit is enlisting soldiers in His end time army. This last day army will walk in unprecedented glory and power, the like we have never seen before.
Matthew 11:12 says,
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
This upcoming end time army will be militant in spirit. They are not just youth, they are everyone that has the same burning passion, desire, and heart for advancing His Kingdom and bringing in the "Great Harvest".
What I Saw
While I was soaking in the presence of the Lord, I was taken in the spirit and I saw a whole event unfold before mine eyes.
I was taken into a vast open field, and the atmosphere was very thick and heavy. As I looked all around me, I saw innumerable men and women. They were young to old and of every different color gathering together. They were lining up and getting in formation.
All of the people were dress in white garments and they had many different tools in their hands. They all were shining like many bright lights. I then looked at myself and seen that I was dressed just like the other people. I felt tense but there was an excitement in me. As I looked at all the people around me, I could see that they were feeling what I was feeling.
As I was standing there, I heard a loud sound that was released. The sound was extremely loud and the vibrations went through the atmosphere like a knife. The vibrations went through my being in waves.
We all begin moving forward very fast. As I looked to my left and right, I saw all the people were on fire. It looked like a wall of fire. As we were moving forward, everything around us was catching on fire.
There were people that didn't look like we did or the way we were dressed and their clothes were catching on fire and burning. These people that had caught fire and were burning, all of a sudden they looked like we did and stepped into the formation. The sound of all the people was tremendous and the ground was shaking.
In front of us was this huge city and we continued to go forward and we entered the city. This army of people went through and over everything that was in their path. They went everywhere and they never looked back.
As I was wondering and asking myself what all of this was, I heard the voice of the Lord say "This is My army for the end time harvest and you are in it". This was what Joel spoke of.
This was one of the first times that I had an encounter where I was taken right into a passage of scripture in His Word. This was like stepping into the Bible. The encounter that I was just in was Joel 2:1-11.
Joel 2:1-11
In Joel 2:1-11, Joel describes the end time army of the Lord. It is an awesome and powerful army that will bring in the "Great Harvest" and bring glory to the Lord.
(1) Blow ye a trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand.
We are to proclaim that the day of the Lord has come "to preach the gospel to the poor (lost), to heal the brokenhearted, to set the captives free, and to heal the sick" (Isaiah 61:1-4, Luke 4:18-19, Matthew 10:7-8, & Mark 16:15-18).
As believers, we are to alert all of those around us that the time is short and the day for their salvation has come. We are to tell them about Jesus and show them His love.
(2) A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as a morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
The days that we are living are getting darker and darker from sin and wickedness of the enemy. The Lord is raising up a great army for bringing in the harvest and for doing great and mighty exploits for Him. There will never be anything like this army that He is going to release.
(3) A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.
The fire of God will go before us to consume and destroy all that is of the enemy. There will be a burning light that is left behind them. The burning light that remains will be the revelation of who Jesus is to all of the earth.
His army of believers will step into the fullness of all that the Lord has promised us in His Word. They will walk in levels of anointing and power like we have never seen before. Not just a few of us but all of us. All the things of the past of where we were and what we did will become faded in comparison to where we are now.
Isaiah 40:5 says,
And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together…
Isaiah 60:2 says,
...The Lord shall arise upon thee, and His glory shall be seen upon thee.
Habakkuk 2:14 says,
For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge (knowing) of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
The glory of the Lord will fill the earth and all the people will see it. The Lord's army will be used to help bring in His glory and there will be great manifestations of the presence and glory of the Lord, like we have never seen before.
(4) The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.
His army will be strong and mighty in the Lord. They will go with such ease and speed in all that they will do for the Lord. They will be a fierce people that are trained to war against their spiritual enemy, and they will be fearless because of their trust in the Lord and knowing who they are in Him.
Genesis 49:19 says,
Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.
This verse of scripture is a prophetic picture of the Body of Christ and the time that we are in now. The Body of Christ is like this army of the tribe of Gad. At times, it seemed like the enemy was winning but like the Lord has told us in His Word, we shall overcome and be victorious.
The Gadites, were men who were the most fierce in battle and most warlike of the tribes of Israel. They were very brave, skillful with every weapon of war and skillful in fighting. They also were some of David's mighty men that were with him.
1 Chronicles 12:8, 14 says,
(8) And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness, men of might, and men of war fit (trained) for the battle, who could handle shield and buckler (spear), whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as roes (gazelles) upon the mountains.
(14) ...One of the least was over an hundred, and the greatest over a thousand. (The one that was least could resist an hundred, and the greatest could resist a thousand.)
Deuteronomy 33:20-21 says,
(20) And of Gad he said, ..…he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.
(21) ...He executeth the justice of the Lord…
1 Chronicles 5:18 says,
...Of valiant men (sons of valour), they were able to bear buckler (spear) and sword, and to shoot with a bow, and skillful in war…
In these verses we see the warlike character of the Gadites. Just as the Gadites separated themselves unto David, we are to separate ourselves unto the Lord. All during our walk with the Lord, He has been training us for such a time as this. We will be skillful with every spiritual weapon that the Lord has given to us, we will walk in great boldness, and we will do all things with great power and authority that He has given to us, in these last days.
This is the way that the Lord's end time army of believers will be and how they will be used by the Lord to bring forth His purposes.
(5) Like noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.
They will walk in great faith and they will speak the truth of His Word with great boldness. The Lord's army will speak with great clarity in one voice and those words will be heard. This will strike great terror in the camp of the enemy.
(6) Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.
The people that don't know the Lord will be afraid and tremble at His presence that goes before and with His army. The enemy will become confused and they will not know what to do.
(7) They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks.
They will have supernatural strength come upon them, like Elijah had happen to him, in 1 Kings 18:46. They will go over any obstacle that the enemy has placed before them, as if nothing was there in their way.
The Lord's army will walk in step and they will do things in the right timing with what the Lord is doing. They will not get ahead of the Lord and they will not turn to do their own thing.
(8) Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and
when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.
No longer will the believers fight amongst each other but rather they will do what they have been trained to do. They will walk in unity and they will work together as a network (a net that works) to bring in the "Great Harvest". Each one will operate in the anointing that the Lord has placed upon their life and they will walk in the destiny that He has given to them.
The Lord will keep and protect them from the attacks of the enemy. Nothing that the enemy tries to fight His army with will bring them harm.
(9) They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.
They will go to the nations and around the world to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God (Mark 1:14) with signs, wonders, and miracles following them. They will do the "greater things" that Jesus spoke of in John 14:12. They also will be anointed for power evangelism.
They will go to wherever the people are and they will bring the revelation (light) of Jesus to them. The lost will both see the signs, wonders, and miracles take place and they will hear the Gospel of the Kingdom (Matthew 4:23; 24:14). The "windows" speak of the eye and of the ear openings. These are the gates with which things enter into a person being.
(10) The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
The earth, the heavens, the sun, the moon, and the stars will all shake and seem dark to us as the Lord reveals Himself to us, in His brilliant, radiant glory and power. Everything trembles at His presence (Nahum 1:5). What a wonderful, amazing, and exciting time we are living in.
(11) And the Lord shall utter His voice before His army: for His camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth His Word: for the day of the Lord is great and terrible; and who can abide it?
The vibrations of the voice of the Lord will pierce and enter into the hearts of the people, as His people speak His Word. The Lord's army will also speak His Word with great authority and power, and with great anointing they will do the "greater things" as Jesus said in John 14:12. The end time army of the Lord will be strong and great in number.

This unity will come from an understanding, that each one has a purpose and a grace from the Father. Every one will walk in their anointing and calling, and they will not fight with one another out of envy and jealousy. The Lord will do away with competition, strife, and envy. This all will happen when we understand that we all have a place and a job to do.
Unprecedented Glory, Power, and Revelation
What has happened to the anointings of Smith Wigglesworth, Maria Woodworth Etter, Kathryn Kuhlman, and all the others? What happened to the mantles and anointings that were on the Lord's past servants?
The Lord tells us in Isaiah 61:4-11, that He is restoring all that was lost by previous generations. Zechariah 9:12 says, "…I will render double unto thee. When the Lord restores, He always does exceeding abundantly above all that we could ever imagine (Ephesians 3:20).
Have Not Seen or Heard
All the things that are coming and going to take place in these last days as the Lord moves and manifests Himself here on earth and through His Body will be greater than anything seen or heard of before. Jesus spoke of these things in Matthew and Luke:
Matthew 13:17 says,
For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
Luke 10:24 says,
For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and not have heard them.
Greater Works and Glory
The glory of the Lord will fill the earth and many great and mighty things will be done for His glory. There will be great manifestations of the power, presence and glory of the Lord in an unprecedented way like we have not seen before.
In these following scriptures we see over and over again how the Lord said it would be.
John 14:12 says,
...He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; greater works than these shall he do...
Haggai 2:9 says,
The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts...
Isaiah 40:5 says,
And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together...
Isaiah 60:2 says,
...The Lord shall arise upon thee, and His glory shall be seen upon thee.
Habakkuk 2:14 says,
For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge (knowing) of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
As each believer literally takes Jesus at His Word and "works with" the moving of the Holy Spirit, many great and miraculous things will happen. As these things take place, the works of the devil are destroyed and the glory of the Lord is released upon the earth. This is the will of the Father as it is in heaven here on the earth. This is also the kingdom of heaven being made manifest on the earth.
Power
Right now, we are to do the ministry of Jesus as it was when He was on the earth. We have this power, the power of God, right inside of us because He dwells within each one of us that are believers. As it says in Colossians 1:27, "…..which is Christ in you…" and also in Romans 8:11, "…..the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you…"
We are not to just speak persuading words but as it says in 1 Corinthians 2:4, "And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power". This is the power which makes the enemy to tremble and it breaks the grip of the enemy that he has upon the lives of so many people. This is the power of God which the believers have inside of them which is spoken of in Isaiah 10:27, "..…the yoke (grip of the enemy) shall be destroyed because of the anointing (His power).
As believers, we have Christ Jesus living and dwelling within us by His Spirit. All power is in Him and He is in us. We must have a revelation and knowledge of this! His power consists of:
- Exousia - Delegated authority
- Dunamis - Explosive, dynamite, and miracle working power (raised Jesus from the dead)
- Ischus - Mighty power
- Kratos - Dominion and great power
His Word goes on even further in Revelation and Acts saying:
Revelation 11:3-6,
(3) And I will give power unto my two witnesses...
(4) These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
(5) And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
(6) These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
Acts 4:33,
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
There is one important key to accessing all of this. It is by "knowing Him" which is not by just knowing "about Him" or "of Him". This "knowing" is having an intimate personal relationship with Him and that goes beyond giving your life to Jesus.
Daniel 11:32 says,
...But the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits.
Revelation
Today the Lord is releasing fresh and new revelation of the mysteries of the kingdom of God by the Holy Spirit. The word "revelation" means to have knowledge and understanding of something. Now is the time which we are living in that these things the Lord said in His Word would be.
Mark 4:11 says,
...Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God…
Ephesians 3:5, 9 says,
(5) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.
(9) And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.
Colossians 1:26 says,
Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to His saints.
Jeremiah 33:3 says,
Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
Some of the things that are being revealed to us in a deeper way are about: the kingdom of God, the supernatural, oneness and intimacy with Jesus Christ, the authority and power He has given to us, His Name (the power of & what is in His Name), His glory, the anointing and the different levels of it, our spiritual defensive and offensive weapons, and our spiritual senses. These things and many others that previous men and women of God have touched on was just the beginning of the revelation to come.
All things are hidden in the heart of the Father as it says in Colossians 2:3, "In whom (the Father) are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge". The Holy Spirit is the one who brings and reveals these things to us.
1 Corinthians 2:7, 9-13 says,
(7) But we speak the wisdom of God in mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.
(9) But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.
(10) But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea the deep things of God.
(11) For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of a man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
(12) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
(13) Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth...
His Promises to Us
