The Coming King - JESUS

Signs of Jesus Christ's (2nd) Coming

John Siefker

These are the days…we are living in the last days preceding the coming of Jesus Christ according to what He said in His Word. What a time to be living in!

Jesus promised His disciples (including each believer today) that He would come again. Jesus said this in John 14:1-3:

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

Jesus Christ's soon return will be REAL just as Jesus has said in His Word - as stated in the verses of Scripture above, no matter what others may try to tell you. Also it says in Acts 1:9-11:

"And when He had spoken these things, while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven."

How will it be when Jesus comes again? Jesus said this in Luke 21:27:

"And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory."  (ref: Mark 13:26; Matthew 24:30)

Who all will see Jesus when He comes back again? The Lord said in Revelation 1:7:

"Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him…"
This means every person will see Jesus when He returns… period.

When Jesus returns, what will everyone hear and see? The Lord says in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17:

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
Jesus also continues on to say in Matthew 24:27:
"For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."  (Also ref: Luke 17:24)

Does any one know or will any one know exactly when Jesus is coming again? The answer is "NO". The return of Jesus Christ will be a surprise - suddenly - unexpected; only Abba Father knows.

From many years ago, even still today, many people in their ignorance / arrogance, set times and dates for the second coming of Jesus even though God's Word clearly states that we will not know.

Jesus clearly stated this in His Word:

"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." Matthew 24:36

"Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." Matthew 25:13

"But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is." Mark 13:32-33

Now look at what further the Lord says about His Coming:

"For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober." 1 Thessalonians 5:2-6

"Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh." Matthew 24:42-44

"For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch." Mark 13:34-37

"And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not." Luke 12:39-40

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." 2 Peter 3:10

"Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee." Revelation 3:3

"Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame." Revelation 16:15
In all of the verses of Scripture, Jesus is giving each one of us a warning/heads up - if you will about His Coming; even using parables/examples of how it will be like.

And we know how humans (each one of us) like to procrastinate - to put certain things off, to do something later; but what does Jesus tell us to do? He says that we are to:

"Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come." Matthew 24:42

"Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh." Matthew 24:44

"Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." Matthew 25:13

"Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is." Mark 13:33

"And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch." Mark 13:37

"And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." Luke 21:34-36
Each one of us must heed His Word and do as He has said; so that we are obedient to Him and ready for His Coming.

God's Word is true and it will be so - period. Look at what the Lord said:

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away." Matthew 24:35  (ref: Mark 13:31; Luke 21:33)
The Lord has it stated it very clearly for all to know. This, as well as everything else He has said is extremely important.

Signs of Jesus Christ's (2nd) Coming

Shortly before Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection, He told of signs or end-time events, recorded in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21, that would precede His Coming. Jesus was asked by His disciples the following questions:

"And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" Matthew 24:3  (Also ref: Mark 13:3-4; Luke 21:7)

Jesus said all of the following things listed in Matthew 24:5-51 would happen before His Coming in one generation:

"So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." Matthew 24:3-4

"So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done." Mark 13:29-30
     (ref: Luke 21:31-32)

What are signs?

Signs are used for the purpose of giving information and even giving a warning of something ahead of time. Just like how people look at the sky to see what kind of weather might be coming or while they are driving, road signs let them know what is coming up ahead of them.

Jesus gave us signs of things that will happen before His coming, so we would know and - to watch and pray.

So now from all that has been shared in what Jesus has said in His Word, we know in all certainty that Jesus is returning soon for His Bride, let's look at the signs that Jesus has given to us in His Word.

  • Many people claiming to be Christ

"And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." Matthew 24:4-5  (ref: Mark 13:5-6)

"And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them." Luke 21:8

This has been occurring over time if one looks back in history and the current world news (Jim Jones, Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda and such) and more to come.

  • Hear of wars and rumors of wars

"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." Matthew 24:6  (ref: Mark 13:7; Luke 21:9)

Jesus said that when we hear of wars and rumors of wars, that we should not be frightened or alarmed because the time of the end is not yet.

Just think about all uprisings in the Middle East and other places in the world - the gulf wars, war in Afghanistan and such. Also there are rumors of things involving China, North & South Korea just to name a few.

  • Nations & countries rise against each other - Famines, Pestilences, Earthquakes, Troubles, Fearful Sights & Great Signs in Heaven

"For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers (diverse, different, various) places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." Matthew 24:7-8

"For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows." Mark 13:8

"Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven." Luke 21:10-11
     (ref: Ezekiel 5:16-17, 7:14-15)

By looking at Matthew 24:7, with the Greek numbers/meaning for certain words in the verse we see this:
"For nation (ethnos) shall rise against nation, and kingdom (basileia) against kingdom: and there shall be famines (limos), and pestilences (loimos), and earthquakes (seismos), in divers places."
Below are the Greek words/meanings from the verse above:
    • ethnos: G1484 - nation - ethnic group, as in tribal or civil war
    • basileia: G932 - kingdom - with a king or ruler, a nation
    • limos: G3042 - famines
    • loimos: G3061 - pestilences
    • seismos: G4578 - a shaking, a commotion, tempest; a shaking to and fro of air, land or sea
Air: gales, hurricanes, tornados, typhoons or cyclones
        Land: earthquakes, volcanic eruptions
        Sea: tsunamis, tidal waves
In 2000 there were 1,344 earthquakes - In 2011 there were 2,183 earthquakes 5.0 and above in the world. You can get the point that they are increasing. And this is not going back to the 1900s and prior that is on record.

Than think about all the natural disasters (tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis, massive flooding, volcanic eruptions, forest fires/wildfires and such) around the world that has happened and how they have greatly increased in both number and magnitude, even in 2011.

There have been some wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, troubles, fearful sights and great signs in the heaven in various places for hundreds of years. But now the wars, famines, pestilences, hurricanes, tsunamis and earthquakes are becoming more frequent and greater in magnitude. This should get our attention, in regards to what Jesus said in His Word.

Now continuing with the next verse…

By looking at Matthew 24:8, with the Greek numbers/meaning for 'sorrows' in the verse we see this:

"All these are the beginning of sorrows (odin)."
Below is the Greek word/meaning from the verse above:
odin: G5604 - pain; travail; 1) the pain of childbirth, travail pain, birth pangs; 2) intolerable anguish, in reference to the dire calamities precede the advent of the Messiah

All of the things listed above that are to happen; Jesus said that this is the 'beginning of sorrow'.

In study of the Scriptures of the Bible, the 'beginning of sorrow' has been referred to as the 'time of Jacob's trouble'.

"Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt: And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames. Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger." Isaiah 13:6-13

"And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah. For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness? Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them." Jeremiah 30:4-9

Once all the things are happening that Jesus said in Matthew 24:5-7 - Then Jesus said that these things will happen.

  • Persecution, The killing of Christians, Betrayal by family, friends & other Christians

Following these verses, there will be two (2) separate parts where we will go more in detail of these things.

"Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another." Matthew 24:9-10

"But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." Mark 13:9, 11-13

"But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls." Luke 21:12-19

Part 1: Persecution & the killing of Christians

Christians WILL come under attack and be persecuted; even killed (martyred) for who they are (their faith in Jesus) and even at times for not renouncing / denying Jesus.

This has happened throughout history (including Bible days) and even now going on today in other countries but more it is yet to come…read what God said in His Word in the verses below:

"Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another." Matthew 24:9-10

"And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled." Revelation 6:9-11

"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of JESUS, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands, and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years." Revelation 20:4
       (other ref: Revelation 2:10; 6:9-11; 13:7, 15; 17:6)
Why are these people sometimes called criminals, what is their crime and who are they? They are Christians! They suffer because of what they believe. They are: massacre, rape, torture, slavery, beatings, mutilations, imprisonment, extortion, harassment, family division, and crippling discrimination in employment and education. More are reportedly being martyred today than at any time in the history of The Church. Communist and other governments continue to persecute The Church. Radical Muslims are increasing their persecution under the mandate of the religious teachings in the Koran.

Presently there are about 200,000 to 300,000 Christians martyred each year with hundreds of millions more that are persecuted. Persecution of Christians in the world will steadily grow until Jesus takes them home to glory. The Antichrist will cause martyrdom of Christians around the world unless God protects them.

In the last 2,000 years, approximately 43,000,000 have been killed: 1900 - 34,000, 1970 - 377,000, 2,000 - 160,000 and, 2004 - 167,000 and many more in the future. In more than 60 countries worldwide, they are harassed, abused, arrested, tortured or executed. 200,000,000 live in daily fear of secret police, vigilantes, or state repression and discrimination from war or tyranny. An additional 400,000,000 suffer from discrimination and legal impediments. 95% suffer some form of persecution. Christians in many countries suffer greatly under intense persecution from radical Islam.

The levels of persecution vary according to different geographic locations, and can entail social ostracism, discrimination, loss of employment, destruction of property - including homes and church buildings, imprisonment, torture and even death. Christians living in Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian nations face the most persecution. Christians face what corruption, lawlessness, terrorism, persecution and world religions try to do to/against Christianity. They are denied basic rights like political and police protection from persecution, freedom of religious expression and worship, equal opportunity employment and such.

Christians in America don't seem to care to know or even turn a blind eye to it - even thinking that it will not happen to them here in the USA. How untrue that is!

Part 2: Betrayal by family, friends & other Christians

This still goes along with the previous part on 'persecution and the killing of Christians'.

"And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another." Matthew 24:10

"Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." Mark 13:12-13

"And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls." Luke 21:16-19

There has been people all over the world that has been betrayed by parents, family, friends and yes - even other Christians to save themselves from losing their: jobs, homes, businesses and even from being killed to name a few. How sad, but it is a fact.

I'm sure many of us have been betrayed to some degree at one time or another in our lives by family, friends and even other believers for whatever reason. How painful it is for one to go through this kind of betrayal - but you are not alone. Jesus said that this would happen to us as it has happened to Him.

Just remember that Judas Iscariot, one of Jesus' disciples betrayed Him (Matthew 26:14-25, 47-50).

"And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes (enemies) shall be they of his own household." Matthew 10:21-22, 24, 34-36  (also ref: Mat. 10:16-20)

"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated Me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept My saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for My name's sake, because they know not Him that sent Me." John 15:18-21

*Remember, Jesus said and promised in His Word (Mark 13:13) that if you endure unto the end, you will be saved.

Jesus also gave us a word of warning:

"And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28

  • The Gospel will be preached in all the world

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." Matthew 24:14

"And the gospel must first be published among all nations." Mark 13:10

  • Many false prophets will come - Many shall be deceived & led astray

"And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many." Matthew 24:11  (ref: Matthew 24:5; Mark 13:6; 1 John 4:1)

Who are false prophets? Men, religious or not, who pretend to be prophets or foretellers of future events and things. He/she can be a religious impostor who wears the disguise of being a "man/woman of God". They will say things to lead many people away from Jesus. Many of today's secular, new age and religious speakers on television and radio fit into this profile.

  • The love of many people will wax cold - But he that endures shall be saves

"And because iniquity (anomia) shall abound, the love (agape) of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." Matthew 24:12-13

By looking at Matthew 24:12, with the Greek numbers/meaning for certain words in the verse we see this:
anomia - G458: contempt & violation of law, wickedness
We are living in a wicked day where injustice "abounds" (it's everywhere) - a day when men and women are lovers of pleasures, more than lovers of God (2 Timothy 3:1-6). The word 'iniquity' means "the condition of without law."

Crime and violence is running rampant and will only get worse. Look at what the Lord has said in 2 Timothy 3:13: "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived."

agape - G26: affection, good will, love, benevolence, brotherly love; God's love
In Matthew 24:12, the word 'love' in the Greek is talking about 'agape love', whose source is only from Yahweh, God Himself that is found only among true Believers. Also in 1 John 4:8, 16, it says that "God is love"; the word 'love' - it uses the same Greek word 'agape'. This is the love that Christians are supposed to have for one another.

Even though, at times, some people (because they have not studied God's Word) think it is talking about non-believers. It is true that people of the world are becoming more lawless and hateful. But they are not the ones that Jesus is speaking of here. They have never had the love of God. The 'agape' love can not grow cold in a person who has never experienced it.

This is quite contrary to what Jesus said in His Word. Look at the following verses of Scripture.

    Love thy neighbour:
"Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." Matthew 22:36-40  (ref: Matthew 19:19; Mark 12:28-31; Luke 10:27)
    Love your enemies:
"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you." Matthew 5:44  (ref: Luke 6:27, 35)
    Love one another:
"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another." John 13:34-35

"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you." John15:12
       (ref: John 15:17; Romans 12:10, 13:8; 1Thessalonians 4:9; 1 Peter 1:22; 1 John 3:11, 23; 1 John 4:7, 11-12)
In reading what Jesus has said in His Word; He gave us a commandment, that each one of us, as believers, must be obedient to or otherwise we are in sin because of disobedience.

Jesus said in Matthew 24:12, that he that endures (stays strong, hold fast to one's faith in Christ) will be saved. What an awesome promise to His children!

  • See the 'abomination of desolation' happen

The meaning of 'abomination of desolation' is defined by the placing of an idol/person to worship in place of YAHWEH (God Almighty), which is set up in the Holy of Holies on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The will take place when the antichrist, the man of sin, will declare himself God in the rebuilt temple, placing himself up as an idol and demanding worship from the world.

"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day." Matthew 24:15-20  (ref: Mark 13:14-18)

"And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." Luke 21:20-24

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God." 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4

The anti-Christ will enter the Temple and 'proclaim himself to be God'. This is consistent with the words of Jesus and Daniel about the role this Temple will play. The abomination of desolation is referred to three times in the book of Daniel, (Daniel 9:27, 11:31, 12:11). Each time, it is mentioned, it refers to the Temple being defiled.

After all of the things listed above, Jesus said: 'for then will the Great Tribulation begin'

  • The Great Tribulation begins

"For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." Matthew 24:21-22

"For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days." Mark 13:19-20

In Matthew 24:21, Jesus clearly said in His Word that the 'great tribulation' will only begin after all the other things that He said in Matthew 24:3-20.

Jesus also told us, in Matthew 24:22 & Mark 13:20, that the days will be shortened.

  • False Christs & false prophets do great signs & wonders

Jesus told us these things to warn His Bride - the Church to be alert so that we would not be deceived.

"Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not." Matthew 24:23-26

"And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things." Mark 13:21-23

The above verses of Scripture can also be referenced to: Matthew 24:4-5, 11; Mark 13:6; Luke 21:8.

Throughout the Bible and even going on today, not all prophecy, signs, wonders and miracles are from God. At the last days, there will be counterfeit miracles and such to deceive the nations and, if possible, even God's people.

For example, Pharaoh's sorcerers and magicians were able to duplicate what God told Moses to do. They could only do several things though such as:
    • to make their rods change into snakes (Exodus 7:8-13)
    • only the first two plagues: making water appear as blood (Exodus 7:14-25) and making frogs appear on the land of Egypt (Exodus 8:1-8)
The Lord said in His Word of a coming deception that will deceive many, even the elect if that were possible. What could this deception be like and how could Christians be so gullible as to believe it? What if that deception came by preachers and others who said that they came in the name of the Lord/Jesus?

Could some Christians be worshiping a god that is not the true God of the Bible, but of the "god of this world"; whose main goal is to be worshiped and to try to take the place of God? Could this really be possible?

    Look at Apostle Paul wrote:
"But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him." 2 Corinthians 11:3-4

"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

Are some of the Christians being preached to of "another Jesus, another gospel and another spirit"? Look at some of the things going on in some churches today that seem to be "of the Lord" as some people tell you. Yes, they seem to be supernatural, and because of this they seem to be from God Almighty but are they really from the true God in heaven or the god of this world?

Here are just some of the strange signs, wonders, miracles and manifestations that are being seen today:

    • Gold flakes appearing miraculously out of thin air - on people, their clothes and such

    • Gold teeth or gold fillings appearing in people's mouths

    • Oil covering Bibles, people's hands and feet

    • Feathers falling out of the air - of which people say that means that angels are there

    • Claims of female angels being seen

    • Precious gems & jewels appearing out of nowhere

    • People saying to get high on the 'Most High' / 'tokening' the Ghost

    • Manifestations of people roaring, barking and other animal sounds/behaviors after receiving the "anointing"

    • False miracles & healings: People who have no physical problems put on a show - act as though they do (sitting in wheelchairs, walking with crutches & such) and once ministered to, they do whatever it was that they could not do before - acting as if they have been miraculously healed

    • Contemplative or Centering Prayer (New Age meditating type of prayer)

    • Going up into heaven at one's will

    • Praise and worship that plays the same beat over and over and over, with the same words, almost like a "mantra" that gets one into a hypnotic state (trance like state) of euphoria, where one experiences the immense joy in the Lord & other things
How sad but true…a lot of these things seems like blatant mockery at Jesus Christ and His precious Holy Spirit, in regards to all the things that was said in God's Word. Just think about this, that before Jesus was crucified, He was mocked (Matthew 27:29-30, 39-43).

The signs and wonders listed above, appeal only to the flesh and do not glorify God. One must ask themselves: "Did we see these things in the Old Testament? Did we see Jesus teaching these things? Did the apostles experience or teach this? Where do we find these things in the Bible?"

"The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us." Ecclesiastes 1:9-10

Jesus did many signs, wonders, miracles and healings when He walked on the earth and He is still doing them today, even through His people. And we know for certain that:
"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." Hebrews 13:8

"For I am the LORD, I change not..." Malachi 3:6
In many things, Satan tries to counterfeit the things that God has done or that He is doing to deceive people. He always mixes a little bit of truth with a lot of lies to make it seem true and genuine.

Today, many Christians want to see some thing and/or experience God so badly that they are grasping for anything that seems to be of God. It's all about the flesh and what appeals to their senses. It looks like a miracle, it seems to be supernatural, and it feels so good or right, so it must be God! It must be the Holy Spirit moving because of all the miraculous things that were done in the name of Jesus!

Just remember, if you think that just because they're using the name of Jesus in what they say and do - that it is truly from God and not the devil, think again. Look at what Jesus said in His Word:
"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:21-23

"When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity." Luke 13:25-27
The name of Jesus may be used by many different people and/or religions, but it is only our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ or is it "another Jesus" by which people are deceived because it sounds or feels so good and so right that it certainly must be of God.

So if Christians assume that every supernatural sign or manifestation that happens must be from God, forgetting that satan is completely capable of performing supernatural signs and wonders through false prophets, apostles and other people, than look at what Paul wrote:
"Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12

Those who accept Satan's lies and follow after or participate in false manifestations do so "because they did not receive the love of the truth and so God will send then them strong delusion". This is among the Bible's most frightening statements.

The only way to know whether a sign or wonder is true is to measure it with truth - with the Word of God. In John 8:32, Jesus said, "…Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." God's Word is the sole determinant of truth or falsehood. In 1 Thessalonians 5:21, we are instructed to "test all things; hold fast what is good" and we so often fail to do so. You will want to also read 1 John 4:1-6.

Immediately after the Tribulation - This is going to happen

The sun is going to be darkened, the moon is not going to give light, stars will fall from heaven and the powers of heaven will be shaken.

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:" Matthew 24:29

"But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken." Mark 13:24-25

"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken." Luke 21:25-26

"And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God… And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come." Acts 2:17a, 19-20

"And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come." Joel 2:30-31

"And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" Revelation 6:12-17

In regards to all of the Scriptures above, for further references, you will want to read: Isaiah 24:16-23 and Haggai 2:6.

Jesus said that when we see these things happen, that are listed in the verses of Scripture above, then we will know that His Coming is near!

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." Luke 21:28

Then shall appear the sign in heaven of the 'Son of man' - and Jesus coming & His angels gathering the believers

"And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." Matthew 24:30-31

"And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven." Mark 13:26-27
     (ref: Luke 21:27)

JESUS gave parables/examples in regards to His Coming

    The Fig Tree:

"Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." Matthew 24:32-36  (ref: Mark 13:28-31; Luke 21:29-33)

Just As in the Day of Noah:
"But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." Matthew 24:37-39

"And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all." Luke 17:26-27

Just As in the Day of Lot:
"Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed." Luke 17:28-30

As all of the examples above, that Jesus gave, so will it be like when He returns…

Notice, that in the days of Noah and Lot that everyone was always doing their own things? It is no different TODAY. Nothing has changed; people are doing their own thing and not giving heed to what Jesus said in His Word. Jesus said that it was going to be that way.

Look at what else Jesus said would take place:

"Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come." Matthew 24:40-42

"In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. Remember Lot's wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it. I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together
      (ref: Matthew 24:28)." Luke 17:31-37

"But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh." Matthew 24:43-44
Jesus also said it very clearly about people 'being ready'… as this is very important. This is a warning that each one of us must 'pay attention to'.

"Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 24:45-51

With all that Jesus has said, why do you think that Jesus made reference to His coming - 'as a thief in the night'?

*** A WARNING - And what Jesus told each one of us to be doing

"But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch." Mark 13:32-37

"But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer." 1 Peter 4:7

Over and over in His Word, Jesus told us that we are: "to watch, to pray and be ready."

In regards to His Coming, Jesus gave a parable about the 10 virgins:

"Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." Matthew 25:1-13
There is a lot that one can take from this parable, but one main thing is that we are to be ready and watching for the coming of our Lord and Saviour, JESUS!

  • Scoffers will ridicule & mock the coming of Jesus

"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation." 2 Peter 3:3-4

The Apostle Peter, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, knew that people in the last days would use the seeming delay of our Lord's return as a means by which they might scoff at the Biblical teaching of coming judgment and other things that Jesus has said in His Word. Apostle Peter wrote of this to warn Christians not to be deceived by scoffers.

It is apparent that there are many scoffers in the world today - not only those who openly deny the end-time events, but also those who by their ungodly lifestyles.

Some promises that Jesus said in His Word

  • Jesus is coming the same way as when He ascended into heaven

"… Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." Acts 1:11

  • If you endure unto the end - than you will be saved

"But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." Matthew 24:13  (ref: Mat. 10:22; Mark 13:13)

The Greek word for 'endure' means:
      a) to preserve: under misfortunes and trials to hold fast to one's faith in Christ;
      b) to endure, bear bravely and calmly: ill treatments.

  • Receive a crown of righteousness

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8

  • Receive a crown of glory

"And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away." 1 Peter 5:4

  • A place of refuge for a time

"And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days." Revelation 12:6

"And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent." Revelation 12:14

'The woman' stated above could be representing "The Church" but it could also speaking of Israel. Read Revelation 12:1.

Other things and signs that God said in His Word that would happen before the Great Judgment Day

Here is a list of some of them; and they are not in any order:

  • Jewish people will return back to the State of Israel. (Isaiah 11:11-12, 66:8; Jeremiah 30:1-3, 31:8-11; Ezekiel 37:21-25; Amos 9:14-15; Zechariah 8:7-8)

  • The Jewish Temple will be rebuilt in Israel and temple sacrifices reinstated. (Hosea 3:4-5; Matthew 24:15; Daniel 9:27, 11:31)

In Matthew 24:1-2, Jesus told His disciples that the temple would be tore down and since than, there has not been a temple rebuilt. In Matthew 24:15 and 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, Jesus said we would see the abomination of desolation in the holy place, which refers to the temple. So a temple must be rebuilt.

  • Understanding of Bible prophecy that were sealed. (Daniel 12:4, 8-9)

  • Travel will increase. People will be going to and fro. (Daniel 12:4)

  • The Lord will pour out His Spirit on all flesh - all people.

"And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call." Joel 2:28-32  (ref: Acts 2:17-18)

  • The tabernacle of David will be raised back up once again.

"In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:" Amos 9:11

"After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things." Acts 15: 16-17

The meaning of "raising back up" the 'tabernacle of David' has to do with worship to the Lord, as back in the days of King David.  (ref: 1 Chronicles 16:1-43)

  • There will be a 'falling away': Some Christians will leave the faith - in following Jesus.

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition." 2 Thessalonians 2:3

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth." 1 Timothy 4:1-3
     (ref: 2 Timothy 3:5, 4:3-4)

The reason why some Christians quit believing and following Jesus, is because they listen to and they accept to believe what both the seducing spirits tell them and the false teachings that they believe to be true.

So, don't believe any one - other than Jesus and what He said in His Word!

  • There will be an increase in occurrences of and interest in supernatural happenings. (2 Thessalonians 2:8-12; Matthew 24:24)

  • There will be no financial security in saving oneself. Money, including gold and silver will not be worth anything. (Ezekiel 7:19; James 5:1-3; Rev. 18)

  • Homosexuality, sexual immorality - including fornication, and pornography (Mat. 5:27-28) will increase.

Just remember what was happening in the days of Noah and Lot. (Luke 17:28-29; Jude 17-19)

  • Other signs of how people will be in the 'last days'.

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." 2 Timothy 3:1-5

  • Sin will increase. (Matthew 24:12; 1 Timothy 4:1-3; 2 Timothy 3:1-6, 13)

  • There will be a 7 year peace treaty - of which will be broken half way through (3 ½ years). (Dan. 9:27)

  • Battle of Gog & Magog - the war with Israel. (Ezekiel 38 & 39)

These are the nations and people listed in the Bible who will be a part of it (Ezekiel 38:5-6):
    • Gog: this modern day Russia  (Ezekiel 38:16 - but the whole chapter)
    • Land of Magog: this is Central Asia
    • Persia: this is modern day Iran, Iraq, & possibly Afghanistan
    • Meshech and Tubal: this is areas in southern Russia
    • Togarmah: this region is modern day Turkey (Southeastern Europe)
    • Ethiopia: this is modern Ethiopia & Sudan
    • Libya: this is modern day Libya
    • Gomer: this is modern day Eastern Europe
    • Many people: various other nations allied to Russia

  • There will be a 200 million man army. (Rev. 9:13-16, 16:12)

  • The Roman Empire is revived - Global government. (Dan 2:40-44; 7:23-25; Rev. 13:1-2, chapter 17)

  • The Great Antichrist - man of sin - son of perdition will be revealed.

The meaning of 'antichrist' is: a person that in conflict/against Jesus - in who He is, what He has said in His Word, what He has done and is going to do.

"And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all." Daniel 11:36-37

"Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12

"Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time." 1 John 2:18

All false prophets and teachers whose teachings conflict with Jesus Christ and what He said in His Word are little 'antichrists'. However, there is one 'Great Antichrist', whose is coming as stated in 1 John 2:18 and 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12.

Other references that you will want to read are: 1 John 4:1-3; 2 John 7; Revelation 13:1-11, also chapter 17.

  • The second beast comes forward and is worshipped. A 'One-world' (global) religious system. (Rev. 13:11-15)

  • No person can buy or sell without the 'mark' (of the beast). (Revelation 13:16-18)

  • Two witnesses will come and prophesy for 1,260 days. (Revelation 11:3-6)

  • The two witnesses (prophets) will be killed, after 1,260 days and their bodies will lay in the street for 3 ½ days. (Revelation 11:7-10)

"And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified." Revelation 11:7-8

  • After 3 ½ days, the two witnesses will be raised from the dead and ascend into heaven.

"And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them." Revelation 11:11-12

  • In the same hour, that the two witnesses are raised from the dead and ascend into heaven, a great earthquake happens.

"And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven." Revelation 11:13

  • A great wonder will appear in heaven 'of a woman'.

"And there appeared a great wonder (sign) in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered." Revelation 12:1-2

  • Another great wonder will also appear in heaven of a 'great red dragon'.

"And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born." Revelation 12:3-4

  • The battle of Armageddon (Rev. 16:16) - The war against the Lamb/Jesus (Zechariah 12:2-4, 9, 11; Rev. 17:14, 19:11-19, 20:8-9)

At this time, it is when satan with the host of his armies… wages war against Jesus and His armies which were in heaven. And JESUS, the King of all kings, will be victorious!

*Again, all of the events/signs that are mentioned above are not listed in any order of when they will occur, other than what Jesus has said in His Word.

Just remember, once again, that all of these signs serve a purpose

Jesus gave them to us so that we may know what time it is - in the hour we live in, in regards to His soon return. These signs are:

    • To forewarn us of that which is coming before His Return; so we would be aware of them when they occurred, in regards to what "time" it is that we are living in.

    • To prevent us from falling into undue fear and worry when we see them occurring.

    • To keep us from carnal security as a result of our thinking that His Coming and the 'Day of Judgment' is far away - not in our lifetime.

    • To give us courage and boldness in standing firm in our faith of Jesus as we see these signs declaring the end is near, so we do not give in to fear and timidity in standing up for Christ and the Gospel.

    • To confirm our hope and confidence in Jesus & His Word that His Coming is very soon to bring us our eternal salvation in heaven with Him.

    • To alert us that His coming is at hand.

    • To confirm and verify that His Word is true.

Also, just remember these other things that Jesus said

"For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night." For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober." 1 Thessalonians 5:2-6

Encourage one another with these words

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

***On a side note: 'The Blood Moon' as it has been called…

...Has just happened on Saturday, December 10, 2011 (6:05am PST). The whole moon was orange/red.

What was described in Joel 2:31 and Revelation 6:12; is it a possible solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse in relation/reference to what God said in His Word, that will take place or something else?

During solar eclipses, the sun is obscured by the moon except for wisps of light around the corona as if an object was put in front of the sun, letting very little light to be shone around it. So that the sun appears dark and one cannot see the sun.

Lunar eclipses often cause the moon to not disappear completely but turn shades of orange and red. Also other things, such as dust or what have you, from volcanic eruptions have done this in times past.

Eclipse Pattern Found In NASA 2015 Data:

NASA's tables for solar and lunar eclipses shows a string of lunar and solar eclipses starting in 2014 through 2015 and nothing significant for the rest of the century. In 2015 there will be a pair of solar and lunar eclipses two weeks apart (on the new moon & full moon) one in the Spring and one in the Fall.

But most amazing of all, it has been discovered that in the years 2014 and 2015 there will be two solar eclipses and four lunar eclipses, all of them occurring on Jewish Holy Days (the Jewish calendar)!

The 'lunar eclipses' break down as follows:

    • Passover                                 April 15, 2014
    • Feast of Tabernacles           October 8, 2014
    • Passover                                 April 4, 2015
    • Feast of Tabernacles           September 28, 2015

The two 'solar eclipses' connected with God's Holy Days (the Jewish calendar) in 2014-2015 occur:

    • Adar 29/Nisan 1 (new year)          March 20, 2015
    • Feast of Trumpets                         September 13, 2015
This is just some thing else to think about, in reference only, in regard to what God has said in His Word.

THEN THE LAST & FINAL JUDGMENT

This happens after the Great Tribulation, after all the things listed above in this article and what God has said in His Word.

'Judgment Day' marks the end of all time - a day of reckoning for all people before their Creator and Jesus will judge them. It will be both a glorious day for some and a fearful day for others. All people, those both living and the dead including the righteous and unrighteous, will be judged by their deeds.

"And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:11-15

"…For the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." John 5:28-29

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." 2 Corinthians 5:10

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." Hebrews 9:27

"And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him." Jude 14-15

"When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:" Matthew 25:31-34

After being judged, we will then be sent to either 'heaven to be with Jesus for all eternity' or 'to hell with satan and his demons for all of eternity'.

    In Conclusion

Again, are all of the things/events (natural disasters: flooding, fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, high winds, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, famines, diseases, pestilences, minor & major wars and etc.) that are happening in the world today a coincidence and NORMAL? The answer is: absolutely 'NO'!

It's the SIGN of the times… that we are living in.

Our ONLY hope and salvation is in JESUS!!!!

The opportunity for salvation is still open to all, but we do not know for how much longer that door will remain open. If after reading this article, you hear God is calling you, then you must cry out to Him for salvation. Today is the day of salvation. Don't wait until it is too late…

Does Jesus know you? Have you repented of your sins and given your heart to Jesus? Do you feel the conviction of the Holy Spirit in your heart?

Are you ready - is your soul ready for eternity? Where will you spend eternity? In heaven with Jesus or in hell with the devil (satan)?

Do you truly know for sure? Don't second guess or take any chances, as this is eternity. If you know that you are not ready for the Coming of Jesus or if you are not sure - then you need to do something about it - NOW. The time is late…
